Abi's request:
Hihi, I have three requests. These are some things that I really need at the moment, and I hope you'll help me pray for it.
First of all, quite important, I've been having a bad cough for a month now. It's an asthmatic cough, ie from cold weather etc. Which means it gets worse when I'm in my air-conditioned office. My supervisor and colleagues have been commenting on it; they say it's unprofessional to be coughing when I'm talking to people, and stuff like that.
Also, our bank (I'm with OCBC) is sponsoring the Children's Society and I wanted to help out, but my parents won't let me because of my cough. Please please pray that I'll recover quickly, so that I can help! The sooner, the better.
Second one is more personal. (As I've mentioned to CL) I really love the work I'm doing on my internship. They've been talking about getting a permanent staff member in to do it (I'm just pitching in in the meantime). I really wish they might let me to stay on to do it. Of course, it depends on what God wants for me, but I hope that He will let me. Could you please help me pray that I will be able to find the right direction for my life? And also, that if He wants me to do something else, that I'll be able to accept it. I'm really feeling lost and confused right now, and I need Him very much now.
Last but definitely not least; our grandfather (Theo's and mine, for those of you who don't know.) He was recently diagnosed to have diabetes. He is too old to work anymore, and because of some financial problems that my uncle had a while back he can't afford medicine or hospital bills etc. Plus our grandmother has a heart condition also, they can't afford to pay for both. My mother is looking for a job so that she can help pay for it. Please pray that she'll be able to find one. Also that there might be some other way to pay for the bills, like some kind of financial aid or something.

Thanksgiving: Thank God I passed my DBIS Supplementary Paper! (Phew!!) And my Major Project, too.
Prayer Request: Pray that I can get a job before the semester starts again, even if it's just a simple thing like flyer distributing. I need the money.Also, pray that I get a good posting for my internship, and hopefully one that isn't like too big-named (like my sis who got the CAAS last time) cos I'd be too afraid that I'll mess up. And same as what Theo said about the LO etc.

- Healing for my left ear (broken eardrum), that the damage isn't going to last, and that the eardrum heals without getting infected.

thanksgiving:
- Although it was tiring, he really enjoyed himself during the RSAF open house
- That the open house is finally over, after one and a half months of preparations
- That he’s given 5 offdays to claim!
prayer requests:
- Needs more rest. Still feels tired
- more time for QT

thanksgiving:
- Wonderful week. Had loads of rest! Had the time to do QT and talk to God more. Good spiritual rest
- it’s the holidays now
- healing and recovery of most wounds
- reminded to do things unto God and not unto man- started work but still had rest and was able to sleep during work!
prayer thanksgiving:
- that he will not get anything (fines, warning letters, demerit points) after the accident
- that the person will learn is mistakes- right foot still bleeding. Pray for speedy recovery

- despite busy schedule, was still able to go for blading lesson
- God spoke to her (studying Ruth now) and it’s very applicable
– reminded her to press on in the midst of problems

- work is very stressful – a lot of things to do

- starting new part time job next week. Pray that she will have less shifts with the guy who’s gonna work at the same place as her. Pray that she’ll be able to communicate with the girl at work

- finally the end of the 3 weeks of not being able to come to church- no injuries throughout the course

- the past 3 weeks, he wasn’t in church but now he’s on leave! - went through BMT without any injuries

- his mum is sick (had fever on Sunday morning – 41 degree celcius). Pray for healing

thanksgiving:
- the week was fun. Was able to meet up with friends before they go into army
- went to pulau ubin to cycle. It threatened to rain when they reached changi village and they had half a mind to turn back. But upon reaching pulau ubin, the sun shone super bright! And it was super hot!
- fell off the bike but it wasn’t serious at allran a few times during the week (and it didn’t rain each time he wanted to go exercise!)

- for things to do to occupy his time in the next few weeks

thanksgiving:
- God has been faithful amidst the struggle with his classmate. God was in fact changing him and he learnt an important lesson out of this issue. And the issue doesn’t bother him as much anymore!

thanksgiving:
- on Saturday, God taught her a very good lesson
- God showed Himself to be real in her life
- able to stand up to temptations (strength from God!!)
- started prayer group in Medicine Faculty (among her same-year friends). Initially it wasn’t going smoothly but recently, she managed to talk to a pre-believing friend about prayer (someone she’s been praying for!). and her friend agreed to try praying. This is a huge encouragement and showed her that prayer isn’t in vain at all!- yesterday, her cell member (Josephine) brought a friend to church and that friend (Cheryl) accepted Christ!! Whooooo
prayer requests:
- that she wont be so tired. (school’s really tiring)
- be more consistent in studying
- for her father’s safety (he’s in Bangalore now)
- that when she drives to school this week, she will not meet with any accidents- the incident of the scary Indian man on the motorcycle scolding her – pray that it wont happen again!

thanksgiving:
- having a 2 week break!
- had problems with this particular superior who always expected him to lie/ cover up for him because that superior was lazy! But thank God that shift is over and he wont have to work with him in the near future.
- had a safe trip to Indonesia. Nothing serious really happened. Not sick. And was able to spend time with his father. And relatives (could catch up!)- sermons the past weeks were good – helped him in evangelizing to his friend in army

- pray that he’ll be able to follow up with the firend he’s evangelizing to in army
- IMF meeting – that nothing will happen cos waldy is on standby!- for wisdom and favour as he teaches reservist people about computers

thanksgiving:
- God pulled her through the past week although her homework load was madness!
- for the great turnout at the Varsity Christian Fellowship meeting in hall on Thursday!
- was able to invite her friends to come for VCF meetings – had the courage and opportunities to do so (2 of them were non-christians)
- able to talk to her friend about God- discovered more Christians in hall!
prayer requests:
- time management for school, youth church Christmas musical, hall soccer – priorities
- for good QT with God (to always increase in quality and quantity)
- to develop her prayer life. To be reminded that she can always commit everything to God in prayer. And never cease or get tired of praying
- to follow up with her friends on God
- for wisdom in her assignments
- that she’ll be a good Christian in hall

thanksgiving:
- blessed her with nice people around her this week!
- she’s the treasurer in campus crusade in SMU and she made some mistakes in caluculations/ tabulations. But her DGL (discussion group leader) didn’t scold her but was super nice and just taught her how to do it.
prayer requests:
- have 4 assignments due this week. So pray for good time management skills (church, school, campus crusade, soccer, tuition)
- spend more time with her family
- wisdom for subjects she’s taking. Especially for one of the modules as she has feelings of inadequacy! So pray for God to pull her through

- the week was pretty peaceful aside from the yelling at home
